Our bedding came in!!

It's so cute and I'm way excited to start getting the nursery put together!!! Yay!

AMAZING!!

So we're working on starting to get the nursery together... and one of the things on our list is to get an area rug. Well we've been looking online, etc... and nothing really was catching our eye or agreeing with our pocket book. Well then we decided to call Empire and see if they do area rugs in the carpet that we just got from them last year so that everything coordinates. So I called yesterday... they seemed doubtful but said they would have a local sales rep. call me.

Well I got called back today... AND GUESS WHAT!! They just happen to have a 12'x25' piece in our exact (special order) carpet that's just been hanging out in the warehouse because of a cancelled order. I was then asked if we were related to any specific Ackermans that 'live up north' in which I replied I wasn't sure (because I really wasn't)... and he said, "Well you must be... so here's what I'm going to do for you... We don't usually do this, but I need to get rid of this carpet and you need this exact piece just in a smaller size. So I'll sell you the whole piece, and cut it for you into whatever you size you want... and you can have it for $100... and we'll deliver it to you"... $100!? Amazing!! Sold!

So we are basically getting two area rugs, that match our carpet in the rest of the house, one 8'x6' that we'll use in the nursey and one 4'x6' that we'll use whereever we decide. We just have to have them bound and that will only cost us about $50... AMAZING..!!

GOD IS GOOD! Just had to share...

It's getting bigger...

March 8th Doctor's Check up

Went to the Doctor's today for my monthly visit. First I'd like to say that the Dr. I met today (since I'm being rotated around all 4 at my office) was awesome.. my favorite so far! Very personable... I may actually consider switching to him permanently.

Anyway... the appointment went well. As they keep telling me "I'm pretty boring". My weight gain is normal, etc. And I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time today... so cute :) It was at about 150... about 10 lower than the ultrasound a month ago.

So yay! Now I get to schedule the 'big' ultrasound at the hospital. (Can't believe I'm at that point already...this pregnancy is going by so fast!) I'll let you know when that will be.

My next Dr. appointment is April 5th ... I should be posting something before then.. specifically a belly pic since I'm getting so many requests :)

Nursery

Hello blog followers!! I'm pretty excited to get our nursery underway... and I thought I would share what we've decided to do. Here's a picture of our bedding:

Yep... orange and green... Mommy and Daddy's favorite colors! :)

But we're not going to have dark furniture like in the picture... we're going to get a lighter wood crib.. more like a walnut color.

I'm so excited!! Within the next couple months we'll start clearing the room, painting it, and then gradually start getting furniture in there. We'll also need to get a big rug for the floor since we have hardwood... and I'll start looking on craigslist for a dresser... Grandpa Ackerman I think is going to make the baby a toybox :) and then we want a glider... whether we can afford one or not is another story... we'll see since they're expensive! but... Yay!!
